Friday, September 20, 2013,  Dr. Chris Hickey followed Dr. Eric Dyson in giving his presentation at the Sankofa Education Alliance Annual Harambee Conference in Washington D.C. The focus of his presentation was to explore and share perspectives relevant to the most significant and important questions and considerations that the African-American community needs to consider with respect to preparing for, and taking full advantage of The Affordable Care Act mandate. The presentation was very well received.

Dr. Chris L. Hickey Sr being interviewed by CBS Sacramento News Reporter Rob McAllister regarding his training of Outreach and Education Certified Specialist for California’s version of the Affordable Care Act, called Covered California.

Dr. Hickey discussed the importance of getting the message out about the benefits of the Affordable Care Act  - “What this is doing is offering affordable, quality access to health care. …As long as we get that message out, we can feel really positive about what we are doing,” said enrollment trainer Dr. Chris Hickey.
